GENERATION GAP
Due to the fact that my grandparents already departed from this world, I instead asked my mom! She was born in 1965, she's now 59 years old, and has given me quite the facts about her younger times. In my family, the gatherings haven't changed that much, we still sit around the dinning table to chat, and to share things with each other.
In her free time, my mother would often hang out with friends. She liked to listen to pop and Spanish music, but overall, the most important thing she did when she was my age was meet up with friends.
My mum doesn't come from a wealthy family, and because of that, she started to work when she was 13, but only on the weekends. Later on, when she was around 20 years old, she changed jobs and went to the local kindergarten. And finally, she ended up working in the town hall, it's been more than 30 years of that, she's really commited to her job.
In terms of technology, it wasn't abundant, they only hada black and white TV, a freezer and a stove, and besides of that, a radio and a turntable, to listen to music, and to listen to the various things that were happening at the time.
When she was 20, in the 80's, the faishon in those years were for example miniskirts, shoulder pads, glitter dresses, XL belts, leotards, denim or tulle. Also, perms had skyrocketed in the 80's, so it was usual to see people have perm curls.
